Hanguang, Zulma, and Yiyang's Master Thesis Defenses
About
Three M.S. students of IMPACT Lab-Hanguang Liao, Zulma Lopez, and Yiyang Yu-have successfully defended their master theses.
Hanguang's thesis is entitled "Antennas on Floating Transceivers for Internet of Sea Applications", where several state of art antenna designs are proposed, including small quasi-isotropic antenna, large frequency ration dual-band microstrip antenna, and high aperture efficiency GPS antenna array. Hanguang has produced a high-quality Master's thesis and presentation, and he was highly praised by the committee members.
Zulma's thesis aims to investigate various miniaturization techniques for a UHF RFID tag-on-package. Zulma worked on the antenna design, fabrication, and test of the device. Through her master's journey, she improved her knowledge of antenna and electromagnetic theory, 3D printing, laser patterning technology, and microwave measurements.
Yiyang's thesis is entitled "Ultra-Thin AMC for Gain-Enhancement of a 94 GHz Antenna-On-Chip". Yiyang showed great skills in the fields of on-chip antenna, gain enhancement, nanofabrication, mm-wave measurement and produced a high-quality Master's thesis.
Congratulations to Hanguang, Zulma, and Yiyang!
